Happy half term everyone!
What a busy and fun half term we have had!
Last Friday the children really enjoyed a dinosaur workshop from Sprouts Drama Group. It was lovely seeing how imaginative they were.
We hope you were as impressed as we were with the children's box model houses. They worked incredibly hard and had wonderful ideas.
We have all had a fun and energetic day doing our sponsored Zumba. Thank you for all the sponsor money that has already come in.
The children have really enjoyed trying to build a really tall tower for Rapunzel out of bricks. Then measuring it with a metre stick. Next week we will find out which class managed to build the tallest one!
Thank you to the parents who accompanied us on our walk earlier in the week. The children impressed us with their super behaviour and knowledge of building materials and homes.
Please could we ask you check that your child's PE kit is all named with their name. It is quite tricky for us trying to sort clothes when PE kits and jumpers have names in from previous owners!
We have all settled in really well into Year 1. This week we really enjoyed an inspiring assembly with a paralympic athlete James Shaw who is 17th in the world in wheelchair tennis. The children asked some thoughtful questions.
The children have really engaged in our topic of the Three Little Pigs and have produced great writing, models and art work which is making our classrooms look interesting, colourful and bright!
Thank you for sending in the amazing photos and artefacts on our RE theme of Belonging. The children spoke clearly and listened well and it was a lovely circle time.
Welcome to Year 1 !
We hope you have had a lovely summer. We are looking forward to working with you all - Keep looking at our class page for photos and information about our activities.
