Week Beginning 23-1-17
This week we have continued our work on money. We have been learning how to pay for items using the smallest amount of coins possible. It's tricky, can you do some at home?
During our Learning Challenge work, we have been taking part in a carousel of activities; Making 3D houses from a net, writing factfiles, finding out more by playing a game on the internet, creating a timeline and deciding if fire equipment is from the past or present on a venn diagram.
We have already made a great start by watching a clip of the fire, sequencing the events, drawing / painting houses during the fire and researching facts. Some of the homework that has already come in, is fantastic! Well done.
Week Beginning 17-1-17
This week we have been learning about money in maths. We practised making amounts to pay for items using the exact money, investigated making amounts using different coins and paying for items using the fewest coins possible. The children have really enjoyed our practical sessions.
Week beginning 4th January 2017
We hope you have had a relaxing break over the holiday and are ready for the Spring Term. After finding a strange bag with some photographs in, in December, we have decided to investigate who they are of. Our topic is: Why are people famous?
