The Year 1 children have amazed us with their fantastic reading both at school and at home. Both the Year 1 jars have been filled with marbles for the first time and the children enjoyed decorating biscuits for their treat! A big thank you to all the grandparents who made our afternoon such a success. The children loved sharing their work and seeing all the old toys that were brought in.
The children looked amazing in their red clothes for Diwali day. They did some super writing retelling the Diwali story and were busy making colourful Rangoli patterns, mehndi patterns and collages of Lakshmi. Today saw the launch of our new half term topic 'Toys'. The children enjoyed bringing one of their favourite toys into school and we had a fun afternoon playing with them together!
Aut 2 Learning Letter
The children looked wonderful today in their autumn colours. We have had a lovely day doing lots of autumn craft activities.
The Year 1 children enjoyed a walk around West Bridgford today. They looked at the different types of houses and building materials and did some super sketches of a house. Thank you to all the parents who accompanied us.
Year 1 have had great fun today building dens with their friends to launch our topic. We saw great team work and perseverance and were impressed with their problem solving skills.
