Eco – Club 2019/20

Welcome to our new Eco-council for 2019. We held our first meeting last week and started the environmental survey for this year. It will be interesting to see what the new council decide to focus on this year.

This week we learnt our current Eco-code. The Abbey Road Eco-team lead the school in going green.

Eco – Council visit Nottingham City Transport

On Monday 20th November, members of the eco-council went on a visit with NCT. It all started in school with an assembly about the environment and some information from NCT on the ‘greener’ fuels which are now being used to power public transport. The eco-council then found out for themselves as they travelled on a gas bus into Nottingham and a tram out to Wilkinson Street Tram depot. They visited the control room and were absolutely amazed by the facts and figures. Finally, they travelled back to school on Ellie the Electric Bus armed with lots of information to share with the rest of the school.
